Physical Director's work load, work allotment and work done:
The Director of Physical Education should be present between 9 a.m to 5 p.m daily. She coaches the players daily between 2.30 p.m to 4 p.m. The players were selected to participating in the Alagappa University sports and tournament according to their performance during July to November every year.
From December onwards, the Intramural tournaments and sports are to be conducted for students and staff. The prize and certificates will be issued at the time of sports meet during the last week of February every year.
The medical examination by a Government doctor for I year Degree students will be conducted with the help of Director of Physical Education Stock verification will be conducted by the stock verification officer during the month of March last week and report will be submitted to the principal every year.
A Physical Directress with the qualification of B.Sc., M.P.Ed, was appointed in the year 1988 to promote the quality of Physical Education in our college. Our physical directress completed her M.Phil., degree in the year 1991 at Alagappa University, Karaikudi. She awarded her research towards Ph.D., in June 2011. Amarker was appointed in the year 1974 and retired in the month of March 2018.
EDUCATION DEPARTMENT:
Our college has 3283 sq.meter of land. Compulsory physical education classes are conducted for players and athletes after class hours from 2:30 p.m to 3:30 p.m. Hostel students utilize the ground facilities after 3:30 p.m.
BALL BADMINTON COURT:
We have two courts in our college premises, one for tournament and another for practice. Alagappa University intercollegiate women zone ball badminton tournament was conducted in our college. Our ball badminton team got the runner-up place in the Alagappa University women Ball badmiton tournament on 4th January 2019 in our college. So far, we have produced 11 universities blues in the ball badminton game. We have one badminton court in our college Auditorium for conducting Intramural tournament purpose.
KHO-KHO COURT:
We have one kho-kho court in our college premises. This court is utilized fully by the college kho-kho team during evening games classes and by the inmates of the hostel. So far, we have produced seven university blues in the kho-kho game.
KABADDI COURT:
We have one kabaddi court in our college premises. Our college kabaddi team got the runner up shield in intercollegiate kabaddi tournament on 16th and 17th August 2011. We have 3 University blues in kabaddi game.
VOLLEY BALL COURT:
We have only one volleyball court. We offer coaching everyday in the morning and evening. We invite neighbouring schools and colleges for friendly matches. Our volleyball team participated in the Alagappa University Intercollegiate women volley ball tournament and produced one University blue in the volley ball game.
We were the hospitable hosts for the Alagappa University Intercollegiate Women Zone ball badminton tournament at our college campus on January 4th 2019 and our ball badminton team got runner-up shield.
We are proud to state that our players were selected to represent at university level in various games such as Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, ball badminton, hand ball, basket ball and volley ball. The details of their representatives were furnished in the table below.
